Iron Horse Energy Services Growing to Meet Their Customers’ Needs
With four crews running around the clock, the team at Iron Horse Energy Services knows what it takes to provide the services their customers need to keep their equipment running no matter the time of day or night. And things are only looking up for maintenance manager Tyson Robinson and his team of mobile service technicians. Since moving to their new shop facility in 2016, Iron Horse has doubled in size and there’s no signs of slow downs on the horizon. The oilfield services pressure pumping company, now located in Redcliff, Alberta, focuses on well stimulation projects for a few large oil and gas clients across central Alberta and in Saskatchewan. With almost 300 employees working 24/7 at the shop and at client sites around the region, Tyson knew he needed to ensure his teams of mechanics had the proper equipment to provide their trusted level of service no matter where it may take them.
Tyson and his team started working with Work Truck West in 2013, when they were looking for their first mechanics service trucks. They collaborated with the Work Truck West team to custom build two service trucks with open decks on the rear for easy access, 5,000 lb hydraulic cranes, and 75 CFM underhood air compressors. “Right from the beginning, we really liked working with Rob and the team at Work Truck West,” explained Tyson. “He really helped us determine what we needed our trucks to do for our crews in the field and we were up and running with the first units in no time.” Four years later, they custom built two more service deck packages on Ram 5500 chassis, featuring a gas-driven VMAC air compressor mounted on top of the service body. “We had two trucks running back and forth between four crews before”, said Tyson, “adding these two new trucks will allow us to have a dedicated service truck for each of our crews, which will make us much more efficient with our field work.”
The new trucks will allow Iron Horse to continue to grow their service region and better serve their customers on their remote work sites. “The body configuration, cabinetry, and mounted equipment are consistent across our fleet now,” said Tyson. “We’re organized and ready to hit the ground running wherever that may be.” Check out Iron Horse Energy Services’ website to learn more about their services and capabilities.
