Custom Work Truck for Mainland Sand and Gravel

When the crew at Mainland Sand and Gravel started shopping for their new site service work truck, they didn’t expect that their final solution would be so close to home. Mine manager Gerrod McAuley originally started looking for a used truck in the US, but soon realized that the costs of buying used work trucks vs. new work trucks outweighed the potential benefits. Gerrod and his team came to Work Truck West to develop a completely unique custom work truck package, including an open powder coated rear deck with removable pipe holders, a Lincoln Electric welder, oxy acetylene and hose reels, VMAC Predatair air compressor, and Ferrari articulating crane with hydraulic outriggers.

Custom work trucks built to exact needs and specifications

This custom work truck will be used in many ways at their crushing plant on Sumas Mountain, including millwrighting and fabricating parts, so versatility in the equipment was a must-have for Gerrod. “Having the larger articulating crane mounted on the truck is like having an extra set of hands on site. It will allow our crew to work more effectively and in the safest way possible.”

Fast turn-around times

Gerrod and his colleagues were impressed with the fast turn-around time once the custom work truck hit the shop floor, receiving their new truck package within a month of placing their order. “The customization aspect was fantastic.
